The West Cork Tourism Council has devised the following Mission Statement which illustrates the core focus of the organization.

West Cork Tourism is dedicated to the development and promotion of the West Cork region as a tourist destination. We strive to ensure the long-term sustainability and economic development of the tourism industry by; increasing the profile of the region to both existing and developing markets, providing support for industry operators, and responding to their changing needs. Through this unique service, West Cork Tourism aims to advance and foster a broader understanding of tourism's crucial role in the economic, cultural and social development of the region resulting in increased prosperity and success.
