Glengarriff Having travelled the short journey from Bantry to Ballylickey, one swings west for Glengarriff Nestled in woods with its own little harbour that caters for the odd visiting luxury liner and leisure craft ferries to the beautiful Italian Gardens on Garnish Island.

Castletownbere The further west one goes along the Beara Peninsula, through Adrigole and to Castletownbere, a busy fishing port, the more spectacular the scenery becomes and it all but surpasses itself on the Ring of Beara, around Allihies, Ardgroom and Eyeries. If you have the energy, The Beara Way route has a multitude of choices for hikers of all abilities.
